🪔 For #ReliefWednesday: It’s a roman tombstone from the town of #Osor, on the beautiful Croatian island ofCres. It depicts a centurion of the war ship liburnae. The roman officer died in Osor, and the city paid for his burial. He is holding a hitch knot in his hand. 📸 me

🪔 For eyes pleasure: Stag's head rhyton dated to the 4th-3rd c. BC. It was found in Milas, then looted & found its way to the antiquities market before being returned in 2022 by US authorities to Turkey again. Now in the Archaeological Museum of #Istanbul. 📸 me

🪔 For "EpigraphyTuesday: This ceramic graffiti is dated to the 1st c. BC and it was found 1st at the #Bibracte - the capital of the #Aedui Celtic people. The term KOYPPA is of #Gallic origin. Written here in the Greek alphabet, it means "small, dwarf". Bibracte Museum. 📸 me
